I am Mari Costa a storyteller and character designer hailing from Brazil and currently based in Melbourne, Australia. I specialize in whimsical, appealing designs best suited for comics and animation. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Character Animation from The Animation Workshop and am the author and illustrator of graphic novels such as Belle of the Ball, Life of Melody and upcoming titles The Demon of Beausoleil and Forgive-Me-Not.
The aim of this course is to take you through the process of designing an original character from start to finish, hopefully giving you some ideas and knowledge to help with your own journey along the way!
